Heart disease remains the leading cause of death in the U.S., affecting millions each year. Despite its prevalence, many heart conditions are preventable through lifestyle changes and early detection. National Wear Red Day, observed on the first Friday of February, is dedicated to raising awareness about cardiovascular health, particularly in women. By wearing red, individuals and communities unite to highlight the importance of heart-healthy habits, regular check-ups, and early intervention. This movement, led by the American Heart Association’s *Go Red for Women* initiative, empowers people to take charge of their heart health and support ongoing research and education to combat heart disease.
