About Dr. Rahim
Dr. Abdur Rahim is a highly accomplished, board-certified cardiologist with more than four decades of experience in clinical cardiology. He completed his undergraduate medical education at the prestigious All India Institute of Medical Sciences, widely recognized as one of the top medical institutions in the world.
He went on to complete both his residency and cardiology fellowship at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, where he received advanced training in cardiovascular medicine. Following his training, Dr. Rahim joined Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami, where he also held a faculty appointment with the University of Miami. During his tenure, he served as Chief of the Noninvasive and Echocardiography Laboratories, demonstrating leadership and expertise in cardiac imaging.
Dr. Rahim has been in private practice in Pasco County for over 40 years, earning a reputation for compassionate, patient-centered care. He has served as President of the Pasco County Medical Society and as Chief of Staff at a local community hospital, reflecting his dedication to both his patients and the broader medical community.
He is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiology and also holds Canadian board certification in cardiology (FRCPC). Dr. Rahim is a Fellow of multiple prestigious organizations, including the American College of Cardiology, the American College of Chest Physicians, and the American Heart Association.
His current clinical interests focus on comprehensive cardiovascular care, with particular expertise in noninvasive cardiac testing such as nuclear stress testing, echocardiography, and pacemaker management.
In his spare time, Dr. Rahim enjoys traveling, staying active through regular exercise, and spending quality time with his family.
